David Rubini Obituary
David Rubini was born in Ontario, Canada, and died November 17, 2011. He was 19.
David was a 2010 graduate of Kennett High School where he captured images of school life for the newspaper. He was attending Delaware County Community College in the Liberal Arts program.
He had an ear for music, whether listening on his iPod or making music at the piano. Music brought joy to David. His dogs were another source of joy. He loved Winston, Rocky, Bear, Remy, and Louie.
At the age of 16, David became a volunteer firefighter with the Kennett Square Fire Station No. 24. He enjoyed training, going on calls in response to emergencies, and the camaraderie of his fellow firefighters. He also enjoyed making campfires with friends and helping neighbors with their outdoor chores.
In his too short life he touched many people; David was a warm, caring young man with a wonderful sense of humor and an amazing heart. It makes his passing incomprehensible.
David was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Joseph and Maria Rubini. He will be lovingly remembered by his father Michael and his mother Jane; maternal grandparents John and Ruby Peeling of Oshawa, Ontario Canada; Uncle Frank Rubini and his wife Debbie of London, Ontario Canada; Aunt Mary Beeton and her husband Ed of Oshawa, Ontario Canada; his first cousins; Adam, Kyle, and Julia Rubini, Kathryn and Jason Drews; and many, many friends.
Peace David.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:30 am on Wednesday, November 23, at St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Mother, 8910 Gap Newport Pike, Avondale, PA, 19311. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday evening from 4 to 8 pm at the CHANDLER FUNERAL HOME, 7230 Lancaster Pike, Hockessin. Interment will be in London, Ontario, Canada.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Kennett Square Fire Department, 301 Dalmatian Street, Kennett Square, PA 19348.
